The corsages and bouts were so pretty this year. Each one was hand made, unique! No two alike. Unbelievable fabulous! The hot color dress color was black? Which was a surprise. The magazines showed a lot of color. Fantasy Flowers still have a few more proms...Cedarburg, Germantown.
Mother's Day. We were able to get a great buy on roses. So one of our specials is adding 6 or 12 roses to an arrangement order.
It's the 100 Th anniversary of Mother's Day.
Americas favorite Mom contest has been popular. The vase is pretty interesting. Metallic silver/pink. Very pretty. Vase arrangements are still the best choice for Moms or any one.

Prom flowers and top picks by Y-Gen
Orders are coming in. Coco - Brown are popular colors for dresses. Young men are looking for unique creations to their specifications. Details to the wristlet, such as beaded wider bracelets. Rock candy bracelets (they are sparkle, opalescent, pink, black, green) Concern with the perfect corsage for their date. I love the excitement the young people bring to my shop. I love helping them select flowers. I have ordered in Dendrobium orchids in White and fushia, mini-roses in rassberry, white, creme, orange, and red. Alstroemeria, variety of foliages and trims.
I was notified this week that I have been nominated for a business ethics award from Concordia College School of business. I am so overwhelmed and excited to have been nominated for such a honor.
Our new computer system was installed this week. In the near future I will be able to provide order and delivery confirmation by email. I also hope to be able to photograph floral orders to pass along to the sender.
Last week proved to be very busy with all forms of orders...from anniversary bouquets to quite a few birthday flowers...And of course some of our favorite people pass away...Even some one who had been in icu for a week was moved to a new room and was able to receive his flowers.
Next week is Secretaries week - Professional assistants week. Ending the week with Homesteads Prom, Saturday night. Friday night is Kettlemorraine Lutherans Prom too.

Arm band with crystals
I created this totally awesome arm band for a high school girl who is going to prom in Ohio. Silver wire wrapped with crystals, Florist review magazine says that crystals gems are really hot with Teenagers. The new Fitz design bracelets are bring a new look to prom flowers. www.creationsbyfitzdesign.com These bracelets are really nice. They are a gift in themselves. Girls just love keepsakes from special events. I know that even though I have been out of school awhile :) I still have my prom bouquet in a box. Back in 1977 bouquets to carry were what was in. That and granny dress with lace...Now the dresses are really elegant and sophisticated. I guess retro "60" is pretty popular too.

Prom flowers and show case
Saturday I set up my new display for Prom flowers. I have been collecting ideas and pictures that really show off what gen y will like. New trims, sparkle, gems, extra cool rock candy bracelets, hand made woven bracelets made from colored wire. Prom flowers are really taking on a new look. Ive said that these flowers are not your Mothers prom flowers. I have designed new looks, The new looks include funky and more contemporary styles. The new colors are hot, citrus and chartruese green. Ribbon is really big this year. With long streamers that will cascade off the wrist corsage. Wrist corsages are still hot. Body flowers that the girls order for themselves are pretty cool. We are making flower tattoos. The tattoos actually have small fresh flowers on them and can be worn on the ankle, back or arm. I can even glitter the entire corsage with a soft sparkle mist.
